MonkeyLuv and Other Essays on Our Lives as Animals.
By Robert Sapolsky
Put on your geekiest t-shirt. Break out the Boones Farm in a bota bag. And curl up for what turns out to be a pretty good albeit egg-headed read.
Sapolsky spins a series of tall-but-scientific commentaries on the collision of environment and genetics and their impact on our very Human behavior. It’s a bit of a slog in places but by the time you get in a few essays deep you will be able to relax and enjoy the writer’s style.
If you a closet geek… this is a good read. If not, just wait till next month when I read something a little more main stream!
